Welcome to Reel'em In Guide Service in Ellijay, GA -"A North Georgia Fly Fishing Outfitter".  We are Ellijay's first fly fishing guide service, est. 2001.  Ellijay is about 75 minutes north of Atlanta and 60 minutes southeast of Chattanooga.  We are settled in the southern tip of the Appalachian Mountains, the start to some great North Georgia fly fishing!

Our guide service specializes in small stream tactics for wild trout and hunting for that once in a lifetime trophy trout. We guide throughout the North Georgia Mountains reeling in rainbows, browns, and "our" native char - the brook trout.  And for those who enjoy fly fishing for trophy trout, we now offer trips on 7 1/2 miles of private water for the chance to tangle with a "monster".

We are one of the oldest and most professional Georgia fly fishing outfitters.  Open 7 days a week and 52 weeks per year. We are a Forest Service permittee on the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest.   While others may try to locate fish for you, why not join us and start reel'em in!

Let one of our Pro-Guides take you on your next fly fishing adventure and experience true "Southern Hospitality".  Fish around small quaint Appalachian Mountain towns like Blue Ridge, Blairsville, Ellijay, Clarkesville, Cleveland, and Dahlonega.  Witness the spectacular scenery and fly fishing in some of the most attractive waters in our state!  Whether fly fishing for trout in a mountain stream or river, you'll love the seclusion and peacefulness you get while being out in nature's beauty.  Just imagine yourself passing by towering Hemlock trees, the smell of the woods, and the sounds of a rushing stream as it cascades by. And in all this beauty, just imagine yourself as you land a trout on a fly rod!

Georgia has much to offer the fly fishing enthusiast with the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest.  The latest research shows over 4,500 miles of water that supports trout and 1,500 miles of this supports natural reproduction.

There are several streams in this area to choose from and we have two Delayed Harvest streams nearby.  Many streams are open year-round and some are only minutes away.

Fishing Report:         As of May, water temps are ranging between 54-59 degrees.  With warming water temps, our trout are becoming super active.  Good rains have brought our streams up and the fishing has been great!  Start with large WBs or stones early. Switch over to smaller nymphs or wet flies by mid morning. During the mid afternoons, place a nymph as a dropper off a dry fly to get the chance for some top water action while using the dry also as an indicator.  If you are not getting any takes, continue to downsize your flies and work hard to stalk carefully.  Drift Boat trips on the Toccoa have been outstanding!

Ellijay Fly Fishing on the Cartecay River or Mountaintown Creek:  Maybe two of the closest trophy fly fishing waters to Atlanta and both only minutes from beautiful Ellijay.  Our sections are now in their sixth year of being trophy managed.

Blue Ridge Fly Fishing on the Toccoa River or at Noontootla Creek Farms:  The Toccoa River has two sections, a 15 mile stretch below the lake referred to as a tailwater and a Delayed Harvest stretch above the lake.  NCF is located outside of Blue Ridge and has maybe the most pristine water in North Georgia for our trophy fly fishing anglers.  It contains wild rainbows and browns, and these fish are some of the most brilliant colored around.

Dahlonega Fly Fishing on the Chestatee River at Frog Hollow:  This water is located just outside of Dahlonega.  It is loaded with a healthy population of rainbows.  Enjoy a lazy day on this water and catching explosive reel screaming trout.

Clarkesville Fly Fishing on the Soque River at Fern Valley:  A beautiful property with easy access loaded with large heavy rainbows that will test any reel's drag system.

These streams are where some of our clients come to test their wits against some of the hardest fighting Georgia trout around. Some of these brutes now run up over 28 inches.  These are the places to hear screaming reels and watch flying fish!
