Mountaintown Creek: Our trophy section is teeming with rainbows and some large wild browns. The trout are nicely colored and very aggressive fighters. This stream normally fishes great during the spring and fall, but is also good during the winter. Since the water temperature has finally dropped below 60 degrees, our landing numbers have greatly increased. Right now is the time for landing high numbers and some extra large trout! Several clients have been landing fish up to the 28" range. We even have a few monsters weighing in over 8 lbs that are just waiting to be caught.

To increase your success on our trophy stream, we highly suggest an angler to guide ratio of 1 to 1.

Your fly fishing trip belongs to you. You decide how your day is to be spent. We will gladly help you with your casting, teach stream reading, and/or entomology (study of insects = fish food). Just let us know what you want and we'll do our best to make it happen!
We try hard not to nickel and dime you to death: Rod use, leaders, tippets, pictures, and flies you use or lose are supplied at "no additional charge."
No waders or boots, no problem. We offer Hodgman products. Their waders are lightweight and breathable. And the boots are comfortable and have felt soles for better traction while in the stream. These are offered as a rental for $25 per set.
Trips include transportation from a designated meeting location to the stream and return to the starting point at the end of day.
A deposit of $100 is required to hold a reservation. Keep in mind the date you select is marked off and reserved just for you. In the event of "dangerous high water", we will reschedule with you (no fish is worth someone's life). A full refund of the deposit is given for a 7 day cancellation notice.
We offer casting instructions at $50 per hour. Key basics are taught to get you started off right and to help prevent any bad habits from forming.
Beginner Special: We will be starting this January 2010. This is an ideal package for someone that has never fly fished and wants to give it a try. The Special is divided up into two - 2 hour classes. Starting with a 2 hour class of basic instruction covering casting, equipment, and proper techniques. Then using what was learned for 2 hours of fishing (plus stream reading) on our trophy section at Mountaintown Creek. Includes all gear plus waders and boots...$250
