Danny and I both have lived in the Georgia the majority of our lives. Amazingly, there are over 164,000 acres of public land within an hour of Ellijay. We spend many hours each year researching and fishing the streams we use to help put you on the trout. Your guide will be very knowledgeable about the stream or streams he takes you to and will be able to pin point several trout's lies for you. We have the option to drive up to some of the streams we fish. While for the more adventurous angler, we can hike to more remote streams.
Guiding is something much more than taking someone to a stream and handing them a fly rod...anyone can do that and unfortunately some guides do. It is teaching the art of "how to" fly fish, meeting new people, and the beautiful scenery I enjoy. The landing of a trout is only a bonus. We work hard to give you the most enjoyable and fun trip possible. Some of the best words out of our client's mouths are, "man, my arm is sore" or "this is one of the best fishing trips I've ever had"!
Guides are basic first aid and CPR certified and combine with over 50 years of outdoor experience. We want you to feel secure and have a great fly fishing experience. With us your safety is always first!
